The meeting of SNIT consortium members from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Silesian University of Technology, 2 waterworks companies: AQUANET S.A. and MPWiK S.A. Wrocław, and Norwegian partner – Aquateam COWI AS has been held in Aquateam’s headquarter in Oslo Norway.
The meeting consisted of two main parts: the study visit to the HIAS Wastewater Treatment Plant in Ottestad and the partners’ project meeting.
During the visit to the HIAS WWTP we got acquainted with MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) technology for the municipal wastewater treatment and the struvite production technology. Moreover, the SNIT technology idea and benefits were presented to the local waterworks company in reference to planned introduction of higher effluent quality standards in Norway.
At the SNIT project meeting of the consortium members, the current stages of particular work packages were presented. The scope of the work for the coming months was planned and discussed.
